  • 3rd International Congress on Child Protection, Unye, Turkey

    30 September to 3 October 2018

    Dr Arnon Bentovim, Işıl Coklar, Jenny Gray, Mehmet Akif Guzel, Stephen Pizzey and Sezen Zeytinoglu will present a pre-conference workshop using the Turkish version of the Safeguarding Children Assessment and Analysis Framework and introducing the newly published Hope for Children and Families Intervention Resources.

    Jenny Gray will give a plenary presentation on International Perspectives on Child Witnesses

    Dr Bentovim will give a plenary presentation on The Impact of Being Witnesses on Children’s Mental Health and the Longer Term Wellbeing of Children

    Dr Bentovim will also give a plenary presentation on Malign Impacts of Toxic Stress on Children’s Development and Mental Health

    David Glasgow will give a plenary presentation on In My Shoes: A computer toolkit for forensic and investigative interviewing of young children

  • Evaluation of the Safeguarding Children Assessment and Analysis Framework (SAAF)

    December 2017

    A randomised control trial of the SAAF, was carried out in six local authorities over a two-year period. The largest local authority in the study recorded a significant reduction in the number of children made subject to a child protection plan.
